Marco's Story

Marcos Vizquel was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on June 26, 1984. Within a humble family, his parents separated when he was 2 years old. Thus, his maternal figure became central in his life. His mother, a hardworking and resilient woman, instilled in him profound life values from an early age, teaching him self-reliance and the importance of independence. At the age of 10, another significant figure entered his life, whom he considers and has always considered his father, playing a crucial role in his upbringing throughout childhood and adolescence. Marcos has been devoutly Catholic, possessing deep altruistic feelings since childhood.

He excelled as a student, consistently ranking as the top student throughout his school and high school, University  Years. Upon graduating from high school, he aspired to become a lawyer. However, his adoptive father, an attorney himself, dissuaded him, believing that this career path held little promise in their country. Subsequently, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree from UCAB at the age of 19, he worked tirelessly at a cinema for over 13 hours a day for a year to finance a student exchange program in Germany through AFS. During this exchange, he was embraced by a host family that became his second family. Subsequently, with the support of his host family, he gained admission to the esteemed George August University of Göttingen in Germany, graduating with a BSc in Business and complementing his studies with a Diploma in Marketing. His love for music, particularly piano, led him to perform several benefit concerts for the people of Wolbrechtshausen, Germany, where he resided.

Returning to Venezuela at 25, he co-founded the first fully LG-branded store in the country's El Recreo shopping center with other partners. At 27, Marcos seized an opportunity in ZTE's marketing department, eventually rising to become the company's Marketing and Events Manager. His trajectory was marked by numerous accolades for his outstanding event execution and innovative ideas. He supported various groups through fundraising events, contributing to social impact initiatives.

However, as the country's social and economic situation declined, he made the pivotal decision to move to Ecuador in search of a better future. There, he established a fast-food restaurant named Il Perrino. Despite facing challenges due to Ecuador's deteriorating situation, leading to the closure of the restaurant and financial strain, Marcos, resilient and determined, founded TheAccessCompany. This venture focused on software development to aid emerging markets. His first product, BeautyAccess, an app integrating technology into the beauty industry, particularly empowering women, gained momentum with support from companies like Diners Club, Chubb Seguros, Cabify, and Avon.

His enthusiasm, innovative ideas, and determination helped raise funds and attract sponsorships. Through these sponsorships, he significantly contributed to a foundation named "Chamos Ecuador," supporting Venezuelan migrant children by donating school supplies, computers, and organizing movie outings for over 200 underprivileged children, courtesy of Cinemark.

Although BeautyAccess was on the path to growth and expansion across Latin America, an offer to acquire the company due to its know-how, contracts with beauty centers, and the challenges posed by the COVID situation led to its sale. It was then that Marcos decided to move to the USA for a fresh start.

In the USA, he began working at Pacific Plus warehouse from 5 am to 9 pm, six days a week, for over a year, driven by a single objective: to establish himself, succeed, and build a family. Recognizing an opportunity in staffing and recruitment, he founded Alony Services, a staffing company focused on humanizing recruitment processes and aiding migrants. Pacific Plus became his first client, where he proved invaluable, achieving his dream of achieving his first million dollars in sales. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, his wife, Karla.

He co-founded another general labor company named Mangus with his friends. It was here that he encountered Matt and David from Glazier Nation, transforming Mangus into Glazier Nation's primary general labor provider. The most significant news of his life arrived when he learned he would become a father for the first time. From that moment on, his sole focus has been to succeed, be the best for his future child, family, and wife.

In December 2023, Marcos received an offer from Matt to join Glazier Nation's board and become the Vice President of Workforce Contracting, an opportunity he accepted without hesitation. In 2024, Marcos faces the challenge of being the best father and husband while contributing his expertise, ideas, and drive to enhance Glazier Nation and continue growing family businesses. Above all, he remains committed to helping his people, friends, and family.
